Economic Affairs

The Economic Affairs directorate is responsible for various activities that relate to the making of recommendations on equitable sharing of revenue between national and county governments and among county governments. These activities include carrying out in-depth research, analysis, review and forecasts that then inform preparation of the division of revenue recommendations. Further, the directorate is responsible for preparation and review of policies identifying marginalized areas in Kenya.

Fiscal Affairs

The role of this department is the financing of and financial management work of both National and County Governments. Sections under this department include;

Research and Knowledge Management

This  role of this department is to form the backbone of the Commission’s policy work and recommendations by adopting high standards of research methods and best practices in data analysis and Communication of our policies and constitutional recommendations.

Legal Affairs

The role of this department is  to advise and provide guidance to the Commission on all legal matters in relation to its mandate.

Corporate Services

The functions of this directorate is to support the implementation of the Strategic plan through attraction and retention of competent staff and in the utilization of resources of the Commission in a prudent manner. Sections under this department include;

ICT Services

The role of this department is to set up the ICT Directorate within the Commission and also advice the Commission on the current trends and best practices within the ICT industry. Develop ICT Policy and provide ICT support services.

Communication

The function of this department is to manage internal and external Commission communications.

Audit 

The role of this department is to  provide independent assurance that the Commission’s risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively.
