Hadija Nganyi Juma is a Development professional with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating sustainable development programs that promote social inclusion, economic empowerment, and community resilience. Her expertise spans around Human Development, Gender, Social Protection, Public Finance Management, revenue mobilization, policy analysis, research, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Her work is guided by a strong commitment to achieving measurable impact through participatory approaches, strategic partnerships, and data-driven decision-making. She is passionate about fostering inclusive growth, improving livelihoods, strengthening institutions, and advancing equitable and sustainable development.

She has previously worked as a Gender and Social Development Officer at the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Services; and has also worked with various non-governmental organizations championing for community empowerment and social inclusion. She is immediate former chairperson Public Finance Management Committee at the commission.

Commissioner Hadija holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with IT from Maseno University; and a Diploma in Early Childhood Development from The University of Nairobi.

Commissioner Hadija is a member of African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) Professional body.
